Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa holds the record for the tallest building in the world. Designed by architect Adrian Smith, the tower is the tallest in the world since 2010. Construction began on 21 September 2004 and was completed on 1 October 2009. It was officially inaugurated on January 4, 2010. It is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on the coast of the Persian Gulf. The building is 828 meters high. More than 12,000 people from 30 countries participated in its construction. The tower has a total of 163 floors. On the 124th floor, there is a balcony open to the public known as the observation platform and offers a spectacular panoramic view of the entire city. Of the 163 floors above ground, there is only one floor below. The building has 2957 parking spaces, 304 hotels and 900 apartments among which there are residential.

Tokyo Sky Tree

Formerly known as «The New Tower of Tokyo», is the second tallest building in the world, being also considered the tallest tower on the planet. Built in Sumida, Tokyo (Japan), this tower is a large broadcast antenna with a restaurant and a lookout. It is the highest artificial structure in Japan since 2010, with a height of 634 meters. It was inaugurated on May 22, 2012.

Shanghai Central Tower

Shanghai Central Tower is a skyscraper located in the Pudong district of Shanghai. It has an approximate height of 632 meters, with 121 floors, being the tallest building in China, the 2nd tallest skyscraper in the world and the third highest structure on the planet. Construction of the project began in 2008. The building currently has nine different themed areas. At the base of the structure, there are shops and conference rooms, while in zones 2 to 6 there is office space. Zone 7 houses a hotel, with other hotels and boutiques found in zone 8. Finally, observation levels are included in the peak in zone 9.

Makkah Royal Clock Tower

Makkah Royal Clock Tower complex, also known as the Abraj Al-Bait Towers,is located near Masjid al Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, is a mixed residential and hotel complex. Construction started in 2004 and finished in 2012, the building structure spreads over seven towers erected above podiums. The tallest tower adorned with the Makkah Royal Clock stands 601m high above ground, which makes it the 4th tallest skyscraper in the world.
